Before joining eacon as a Senior Consultant in 2007 Özgür was managing director of the EU-representation of Deutsche Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband in Brussels, one of the major welfare associations in Germany with more than 20.000 health and social services.
He worked within EU or government institutions as head of office of former EP Vice-President Magdalene Hoff, and as senior officer in the NRW Ministry for European Affairs. For European Strategy Lobbying (ESL), a French-German Public Affairs Consultancy he worked as consultant before he led a research team on a political and social structure analysis for German local authorities.
Özgür was born in Turkey and studied Political Sciences, Sociology, and Philosophy in Germany.
