Political Campaigning

A political campaign is an organized effort which seeks to influence the decision making process within a specific group. In democracies, political campaigns often refer to electoral campaigns, wherein representatives are chosen or referendums are decided.
In a wider sense the entire acting of a political party or a person in the times before elections can be denoted as political campaigning.
In federal states frequently the term "permanent political campaigning" is deployed for there are always election or referendum times in at least one federated state or Bundesland.
A scientific debate is taking place as far as the voting behaviour of individuals as well as the specific form of communication of political parties in election times is concerned.
As the traditional adhesion of an individual to a party is receding greater importance is attached to political campaigning.
