Administrative and Communication Officer

The European Affairs Consulting Group (EACON) is a Public Affairs consultancy based in Brussels specialised in EU affairs and politics. EACON provides high-level experience in working with the European and national institutions and other major stakeholders since the 1990s.

 

In order to support the management of the company and provide assistance to specific client-related projects, we are looking for a motivated and result-oriented Administrative and Communications Officer. The position starts at the earliest opportunity and can be either full-time or part time.

 

As Administrative and Communications Officer, you would be responsible for:

·       Administrative and office management support (approximately 40% of your time): e.g. accounting / bookkeeping, invoicing, database management, relations with suppliers;

·       Communications support (20%): e.g. website, social media channels, PR outreach, communications planning, newsletter, internal communications;

·       Event management (20%): e.g. Preparation of content and organisational matters for client meetings, seminars and other events; some travel organisation support;

·       Other tasks (20%): Ad-hoc support to client-related activities (e.g. monitoring, data-gathering, preparation of briefings, meeting reports);

Requirements & qualifications

Education and professional experience

·       Relevant degree in a related field;

·       Demonstrable working experience in similar administrative and communication tasks, performed for companies and/or organisations in relevant fields (ideally public affairs, communications, journalism, politics);

·       Experience in social media management in a political or other relevant professional environment (in particular Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook);

Professional skills

·       Full professional proficiency in English and French essential with additional language an asset;

·       Excellent communication and drafting skills;

·       Experience with MS Office and ideally web management tools;

Personal skills

·       Independent and pro-active attitude;

·       Strong organisational skills;

·       Eye to detail; precision-oriented work style;

·       Good personal presentation & behavioural skills;
